Goodnignt Moon

One of my favorite children's books is Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown. I love reading it to my kids and it's always been one that they enjoy. On most evenings, weather permitting I will steal away a few moments to spend with God on our back deck. I always look up at the moon and think that same moon that I am looking at is also the same moon that Kenneth sees. It makes the distance between us right now seem shorter.
A fellow blogger and adopting mom, Brandi, shared with me today that the same God that is holding Kenneth right now is also holding me. Okay, so I already knew this but sometimes it takes the words of others to get our attention. Thanks Brandi! How comforting it is to know that we share and are cared for by the same heavenly father. That definitely makes the distance between us seem much shorter.

Goodnight stars
Goodnight air
Goodnight noises everywhere

Goodnight Kenneth, sleep tight. I love you!

I just bought this book for Isaac. I also look at the moon at night and think about him...hang in there, he will be home before you know it.

Luv,

Jocelyn

This morning Kalie called me from CIY to tell me that she wants to sponsor a child from Africa. She said to me that she thinks the money she makes babysitting each month is enough to pay the monthly cost. She said "mom, those kids are dying because they don't have enough food". You are having a huge influence on her, you are not only sponsoring a child to feed him, you are giving him a new life where he will be loved and cared for. Imagine the difference that you are making in the life of a child. I am in awe of you!
